Lady Gaga has responded after a video of a teenage Cardi B singing ‘Bad Romance’ surfaced online.

The rapper, who performed the cover during a high school talent show, is currently riding a wave of praise after the release of her debut album ‘Invasion Of Privacy‘ last week (April 6).

In the video, Cardi performs the 2009 hit with the help of a crew of back-up dancers. Gaga has now taken to Twitter to give her verdict on the performance, sharing the video with the caption: “I LIVE @iamcardib”.

Gaga tweeted about the ‘Bodak Yellow’ star earlier this week when she quoted a line from Cardi’s song ‘Get Up 10’. “Fall down 9 times but I get up 10! @iamcardib SPEAK WOMAN,” she wrote.

Cardi is set to appear at this year’s Coachella festival in Indio, California, which takes place this weekend (April 13-15) and next (April 20-22). Earlier this week, she revealed how much she was getting paid to perform.

Speaking to SiriusXM’s Shade 45, Cardi B revealed that she is making $70,000 a day (so $140,000 over the course of the two weekends) to play the esteemed festival.

Cardi deemed the price relatively low because Coachella booked her six months, when she wasn’t as big a star as she is now. “I didn’t realise that Coachella was just such a big deal like that,” she explained. “I didn’t know that it was a lot of people.”

After announcing her pregnancy on SNL last weekend (April 7), the rapper has been forced to pull out of her scheduled appearance at Wireless Festival.
